The milestones of Laboratori Guidotti S.p.A.

1914
 Luigi Guidotti opens in Pisa the company "Laboratorio Jodarsenico Giuseppe Guidotti & C." with a capital of 10,000 Italian Lire.
1923
 The company changes its name to "Laboratorio Guidotti & C." keeping it until 1981, year in which the company assume the name of "Laboratori Guidotti S.p.A.”.
1931
 Luigi Guidotti awards the prestigious title of “Cavaliere del lavoro”.
1943
 The 11th May Luigi Guidotti dies in his villa in San Casciano Val di Pesa (Firenze) and his son-in Harry Bracci Torsi succeedes in the administration of the company.
1955
 Mr. Harry Bracci Torsi is one of the first Italian businessman to activate scientific research in its laboratories.
1959
 The research laboratories is officially recognized by Italian Ministry of Health. Inauguration of the research laboratory in La Vettola (Pisa).
1960
 Guidotti develops original molecules for the oral treatment of diabetes.
1963
 Guidotti opens a second facility; a chemical production unit help the company to develop the essential amino acids (L-tryptophan and L-histidine) and the new molecules.
1983
 Guidotti becames part of the Menarini group.
2001
 Guidotti changes location and moves all of its offices and production departments in La Vettola.
2014
 Centenary of the company.
2023
 Laboratori Guidotti launches two new products for diabete's care.
2024
 The company celebrates its 110th anniversary.
